Who is Let’s Imagine and Why Have I Joined Their team?

Kids at a Let's Imagine yoga camp

Somewhere right now there is a little boy in an impoverished country feeling lost and forgotten. He is fortunate that he has the basics in life: shelter, food, and water; but his young life is still a struggle. He has to work long days helping his parents in the little café they own in Bali. As a result, he doesn’t get a much interaction with other kids. I’ve met a lot of children like this during my travels, and I’ve often wondered how I can help them. The universe, in its divine wisdom, just brought me the answer, Let’s Imagine!

Who is Let’s Imagine?

Let’s imagine a world where kids can be kids, a world where they can play with other children, learn fun new things, and express themselves creatively. This is exactly why Kimberly Charnuska founded the non-profit organization, Let’s Imagine. They help children in third world countries by teaching them yoga and providing the instruction and supplies for all kinds of art projects. Through these youth camps kids get to be kids, play with other children, and express themselves creatively. Let’s Imagine believes that the simple act of inspiring others leads to positive change in the world. It opens doors and creates a sense of community.

What Will I be Doing?

Since I left the corporate world behind me late in 2016, and set out on my own as a freelance writer and yoga teacher, I’ve been looking for an opportunity to use my talents and interests to make a positive difference in this world. I’m passionate about travel, yoga and helping children. That’s why I’m thrilled that I’ll be using my skills as a Youth Advocate on the Let’s Imagine team. My first assignments involve helping to raise funds, increasing awareness through social media, and most exciting of all, teaching children yoga in Bali this fall, and in Costa Rica early next year!

I’m honored and grateful to be able to answer this divine calling to help children throughout the world. I’m excited and a little nervous about this new adventure. Fortunately, I know that I can always count on the help and support of friends, family and fans of my blog.

How You Can Help

Are you wondering how you can help? First and foremost, we are always looking for volunteers. If you can help with grant writing, fundraising, or make a donation, that would be a tremendous help! We also need yoga mats, art supplies, and teachers. You can also help by re-posting this blog on your own social media. The more people know about Let’s Imagine, the better the awareness and involvement.

If you would like more information about the organization, check out their website. You can also make tax deductible donation on-line. I also need help with my personal travel expenses since this is a volunteer position. I have created a GoFundMe page so that I can raise funds. I trust the universe to provide me what I need, exactly when I need it. I’m excited about this part of my journey and look forward to sharing it with you. Namaste.
