In 2015 Beth traveled to Delhi, India as a stressed-out unhealthy executive for a software project. As she began to expereince Asia, she started a travel blog as a hobby that quickly grew into a business with thousands of followers. When her job ended unexpectedly at the end of 2016, Beth found herself feeling lost and out-of-shape, so she sent an e-mail to a couple of yoga ashrams to see if they would trade free yoga classes for blogging about their yoga school. Beth was actually surprised when one of them agreed.

A month later she showed up for yoga classes in Rishikesh only to find that she was unknowingly enrolled in a 200-hour yoga teacher training course. As the least experienced and oldest person in the class, it was extraordinarily difficult, but she stuck it out. Over the next month, she began to change in the most beautiful ways. Today, Beth is healthier than she was decades ago and practices regular yoga, meditation, breathing techniques (pranayama), and Reiki. It’s been such an incredible journey to health and wellness that she started teaching others about how to be healthy and how to live the life of their dreams. That was the birth of Jiva, Journeys of the Soul, which is the name of her yoga business.

Currently, Beth teaches group classes in Ocean Park, Washington. She has also taught all around the world, including India, Portugal, Guatemala, and Italy. Beth combines the traditional styles of Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin to deliver an unforgettable experience that connects the mind, body, and spirit. Her retreats and festivals are known for their breathtaking scenery in nature and offer an intimate setting where guests feel relaxed and refreshed.

If you are in the Pacific Northwest and would like to join one of her regular yoga classes, or talk to her about private instruction, retreats, or guest teaching, please e-mail her at JivaJourneysinfo@gmail.com or visit her Yoga Facebook page.
